Some of the reviews here are ridiculous… “ran it in silty water and it caused a host of problems, then the Brexit-induced import fees are also the fault of the company. 1 star”. Wow.

Here’s an actual review. We have a stripped down Splash 25 - no casing and no gauges. Have been using it for 2.5 years in the Caribbean. Two people aboard with three dogs who love to get wet and sandy, so we run it 4-5 hours every two days.

First season running it, it developed a manifold leak that I suspect was a fault from the factory, but the US dealer sent us the spares at cost and we got it fixed in St Maarten.

Second season running it, it’s ticked away faultlessly.

We have hundreds of hours on it and other than changing the pre-filters regularly, it just works. In the past I’ve had other systems and the motors are loud (“agricultural” was how someone described the noise) and they’re inefficient.

We’re going to upgrade to a higher output Eco Sistems model to make our lives easier, but that’s a preference rather than needing to change.

Also, the Spanish customer service has been great, and the US dealer also pretty helpful.

I cruised for a couple months on a sailboat which had one of their water maker. It worked alright for a month (about 40h) before the production started dropping. After 60h of usage, the production was down by 50%! Replacing the filters didn't change anything. The booster pump is dead. Customer service is friendly but useless. They claim it is a consumable even though it is not meant to fail after 60h.. They refuse any responsibility claiming the water in the Caribbean was to blame?!? The boat owner is now left with a very expensive useless piece of kit. Very disappointing

Dreadful Experience! Bought a Splash 25 from their UK distributor in 2015. Since then (eight years!) it has worked for a total of two hours and produced maybe under 100 litres. Not only a poor piece of kit but their customer service is dreadful.
The first time it failed was maybe my fault as I operated it in silty water (but there was no guidance in the manual which said what operating conditions were). Not knowing what the problem was, I sent it back to the UK supplier who agreed to fix it under warranty. That was a fail (see my review of them too!). After weeks waiting to hear, he told me he could not fix it and would sent it to Eco-Sistems in Spain to fix it. It went......... and the months went by and I heard nothing. Email after email to the UK distributor.... nothing. Eventually, I managed to contact Eco-Sistems direct and they said they'd had it for a while but it was may fault as it was full of silt (fair enough). They would fix it but I would have to pay..........

So I did......... and then silence. More months until finally they told me it was being couriered back to me. I got it back but the worry of what was happening to my very expensive hunk of metal did me no good.

Still didn't work......... seemed like the feed pump. So a local engineer managed to get that sent off to be fixed (silt again) and once I got it back (it got lost for a year!!), I fitted it...... and it all worked again.... But we are now three years after the initial purchase. Two years later (2021) finally need it to work and start it up. Brilliant! Get 70 litres before the pre-filters clog up. Yet again the sea is too silty! Not as bad as before but it seems that any particles in the sea are no good. So I give up for the time being. Later I clean the filters and she starts up OK..... only now I don't need it. The following year, I try again and nothing - no fresh water comes out. I contact Eco-Sistems, we do pressure tests, flow tests and I send videos. All they can do is suggest I send it back.

So they have had it for over two months now. They can't say what was wrong but have serviced it..... telling me it needs servicing every couple of years or so! I am aghast! How do I get it serviced in the UK Do I have to send it back every time. I ask them to include a service kit when they send it back plus instructions. That adds 200 quid to a £360 bill. Then it gets lost in transit because they have not properly filled out customs forms. They get it back and ship it again........ only this time I now get a bill for another £360 for import duties!!! WT heck!!! My email to them about this has been ignored. I've just paid that bill but if this thing does not work, it will go to the dump. Stay away from Eco-Sistems.

After 2 years, many problems, a lot of money spent for nothing trying to make it work properly, we have been resigning and finally decided to throw it. That's a lot of money lost for nothing and we're very upset but we know for sure that there is now way that could make this appliance to be reliable and working properly.

Stay well clear of this amateurish company. Bought a splash 25 unit just over 6 months ago and the booster pump failed already twice. They refuse to take any responsibility despite the installation having been approved by the customer service and the watermaker being used only at anchor, in clean water, with no air in the system. They offered a 25$ discount on my next pump (which costs 250$) and the CEO told me that "sometimes product fails". They told me to try installing the filters in a different order then what the manual tells you to do and see if it solves anything. If feels and looks like trial and error at the expense of the customers. They have been around for allegedly 20 years yet no one knows them in the cruising world, I guess there is a reason why... Save yourself time, money and headaches by buying your watermaker with a known reputable company.

Very bad service. I tried to contact them for weeks in three different languages, but they did not reply.
A company with such bad customer service is not recommandable.
